Fall is Fine
It has been a while friends! Summer was full of travel, friends, and family and it was just “easier” to be outside in the sunshine instead of documenting my random quirky thoughts on various topics. That is about to change! Fall is my favorite time of the year, days are getting brisk and winter is coming (factual comment regarding actual seasonal changes and not just a GOT’s quote). Days getting shorter means I will have more time to share the little things that make me laugh. I hope some of at least make your smirk, grin, or question your choice in blogs.
Years ago, my sister(s) gave me a set of little magnetic Zen words, a themed poetry kit for the side of the refrigerator. I added a western specific set of words later on and over the years sayings just seen to “appear” with no one taking the blame or fame. It is amazing how much time can be spent staring at a bunch of little word tiles and mentally counting syllables when one should be putting away groceries. It will draw in just about anyone passing thru my kitchen. It’s almost magnetic (pun intended).
Weird? No, just creative art! Every day, all of us should try to be a little adventurous, think outside the box, go wild! Sing, dance, draw, express your creativity and decorate your surrounding with smiles. Don’t wait for something worth celebrating to cross your path, be the celebration!
Here are a few current thoughts from my refrigerator door:
Marshal Mosey Shucks
Manly Individualist
Rugged old loner
When you see the smoke
Get close to the dancing flame
But beware the heat
No one understood
The freedom of the fire
So she danced alone
